The Spoonful of Imagination Art Studio was a dream that began in February 2016. Experienced artist, crafter, and teacher Erica Deuel had been contemplating opening a retail store to sell some of her creations. The problem was, she never truly enjoyed creating “on demand” to sell items. Erica gets most excited when she helps others to create. For eight years she’s been blogging DIY Craft Tutorials for thousands of readers at SpoonfulOfImagination.com. One day while driving through Warsaw, Indiana she had one of those unique moments where she felt clarity and direction on what she needed to do – open a studio that creates time and space for people to learn and use their imaginations. Starting out of her family’s home, she began hosting craft parties and events during the Summer 2016. As the months went on (and the number of her regular attendees grew) and events filled up, it became clear that it was time to take the next steps. Since November of 2016, Erica and her crew have been designing and renovating a space on E. Winona Ave to serve as the new home for her events and classes. We cannot wait to create with you and are hoping to open our doors in Spring 2017. The Studio is a non-profit organization that exists to foster creativity and grow relationships.
